Bungaan
(Joanne Parfitt)

Joanne Parfitt (Bungaan) is a Noongar Balladong woman, who has lived in the Swan area all of her life.

 

Joanne draws inspiration from childhood memories, bush tucker and the Country around Swan and York to create her paintings on canvas, river stones, terracotta pots and wooden bowls.

 

She is also passionate about sharing her knowledge with younger generations, as she grew up learning painting from her parents.
